Happy Mother’s Day!
Mothers are precious; mothers are sweet
No matter the day she is having, she never misses a beat
From waking you early morning and getting you a delicious meal
To picking you up after school with a smile that’s very surreal
She takes you to basketball practice, and your sister to her ballet
She washes and irons your clothing so you can be clean when you go out to play
Let’s lift our hats to our mothers and appreciate them – especially today
Mother, Oh mother I love you, and I’ll show you in every way
Thank God you are here. Hooray!
Celebrate Mom with more than just a card and flowers. Give her what she really wants; breakfast in bed. You know your mom best and what she will love, but if you are out of ideas, you can try my French Crepes. The best way to enjoy breakfast in bed is with French crepes topped with her favorite fruit and whipped cream. Show Mom some love! Give her a morning to remember!
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 tablespoon butter, melted
1) Sift together flour, sugar, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, beat eggs and milk together with an electric mixer. Beat in flour mixture until smooth; stir in melted butter.
2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 2 tablespoons for each crepe. Tip and rotate pan to spread batter as thinly as possible. Brown on both sides and serve hot. Add a fresh fruit and whipped cream.
Pretty simple recipe, that’s worth a lifetime of memories.
